The condition of
the rest of the hull paint was fair. There was substantial
bubbling and water damage from previous shrink wraps and from the
current cover.
More of the same,
giving an overall impression of the boat in general. The 350+ lb.
bronze centerboard was removed and stored elsewhere.
A view along the
port deck, showing the general condition of the decks, hull, and
toerails.
Another view of
the hull and the paint.
More.
This photo shows
the charring extending outward from the rudderpost and at the top of the
rudder. It's easy to see how flames and smoke poured out of this
area and then curved upwards along the hull.
Here is another
view (from the port side) of the area.
