In two separate trips, I disposed
of the piles of demolition debris that had been languishing
outside the shop since beginning the project back in
October: about 1600 lb. total of wood and fiberglass,
which I deposited at a local landfill/recycling center.
Only the various fiberglass parts--old liner pieces,
icebox, and miscellany--ended up in the true landfill, where
they'd surely live on for years to come, albeit buried
beneath the dirt "cap" that would soon cover them. But
my time with these disgusting pieces was over. Perhaps
a dump archaeologist a few hundred years in the future might
excitedly uncover them as steadfast remnants of a past time.
